Larry Romero
General Manager
Larry was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado and has been a proud resident of Pueblo throughout his life. The two constants in Larry’s life have always been his family and athletics. His professional experience ranges from construction management to instructing welding at Pueblo Community College, South High School, and Central High School. Larry’s vast knowledge in construction, welding, and project management will allow him to lead the Runyon team and ensure that Runyon’s Complex is not only well maintained, but is continuously improved.
Welding has had a great impact on Larry’s life because he has been able to help hundreds of students earn their certification and has placed them with employers throughout the United States. However, Larry’s true passion has always been coaching. He started coaching when we was 20-years old and has coached boy’s fast pitch, football, baseball, basketball, and girl’s fast pitch. Larry has coached and served as the Softball Director for the Azteca program for the past 6 years and has been the Head Softball Coach at Central for the past 17 years. Since Larry started coaching girl’s fast pitch he has sent over 60 athletes to play college softball on academic and athletic scholarships.
Larry Romero has been a pillar in Pueblo’s community; the structure and discipline that he instilled in his students and athletes has led them to be successful and productive members of society. He has taught his mentees to appreciate the Pueblo community and to give back if the opportunity is afforded. The humility, integrity, and passion that Larry leads with will ensure the Runyon team, the athletes, and overall community are all welcomed and appreciated at Runyon Sports Complex.
