Pueblo's 12U Barrel Performance Team to make History

This August, a 12U Barrel Performance team will make history as the first-ever all-Pueblo team selected to compete at Cooperstown Dreams Park in Cooperstown, New York. Even more special, every player on this team developed their love for the game right here at Runyon Sports Complex, playing for different Runyon League teams before coming together to represent Pueblo on one of youth baseball's biggest stages.

Barrel Performance is proud to be a locally owned Pueblo business dedicated to supporting and developing athletes of all ages. This opportunity is a testament not only to the hard work of these young players and their families, but also to the coaches, volunteers, and organizations that make youth baseball in Pueblo so successful.

The attached team photo tells the story perfectly. Each player is wearing the uniform of the Runyon League team where they developed their skills and passion for the game. Although they come from different teams, they have united as one to represent their hometown. It is a powerful reminder that this is truly a Pueblo Built team—young athletes brought together by the Runyon Baseball community to proudly represent Pueblo on a national stage.

Cooperstown Dreams Park is a once-in-a-lifetime experience where teams from across the country compete while celebrating the traditions of America's pastime. For these 12-year-old boys, it is an incredible honor to represent their hometown and the baseball community that helped shape them.

We simply wanted to share this exciting milestone with the Runyon family and thank everyone who has played a role in these players' journeys. From countless practices and league games to tournaments and lifelong friendships, Runyon Sports Complex has been where these young athletes learned the fundamentals of the game, built their character, and developed a love for baseball.

As they travel to New York this August, they will proudly represent not only Barrel Performance, but also the City of Pueblo and the entire Runyon Baseball community that helped make this opportunity possible.

Thank you for everything you do to provide opportunities for the youth of our community. We hope you'll join us in celebrating this historic accomplishment and cheering on these young men as they carry Pueblo pride to Cooperstown.
