Welcome baseball, softball players, parents and fans to home to one of the best youth and summer baseball/softball facilities in the State of Colorado. Good luck to all players and teams coming to Runyon Field in 2023!
Directions to the RSC Sports Complex:
Coming into Pueblo (South on I-25):
Take Exit 98A. Take a right on Sante Fe at stoplight (going north). You will see green directional signs for "Runyon Field". Take interstate entrance for Colorado Springs. Take another left and you will see the sign for Runyon Field.
Coming into Pueblo (North on I-25):
Take Exit 98A. Then just as you get off you will see a green Runyon Field sign. Take a right and you will be in the Sports Complex.

We are aware of the I-25 lane closures starting next week for highway repairs. We would like to urge you to plan ahead and expect delays on your way to Runyon Sports Complex.

Azteca Captures Air Force Invitational Tournament
The Pueblo Azteca 18U baseball club captured the Air Force Invitational on July 10-14, going unbeaten (6-0) in the 16-team tournament. They beat the Greeley GoJo's in the championship game, 5-2, held on Erdle Field at the Air Force Academy.

Pueblo Azteca Retains Artie Escobado Memorial Tournament Title
For the second consecutive year, the Pueblo Azteca 18U Baseball Club won the Artie Escobado Memorial Tournament at the Runyon Sports Complex.
Pueblo Azteca defeated Wow Factor in the championship game, 10-0, in a run-shortened 5-inning game due to the 8-run rule. Azteca jumped out to a 9-0 lead after two innings and Frank Flores, the Most Valuable Pitcher of the tournament, threw five innings, striking out nine and giving up one hit.
In it's 17th year, the tournament is played in honor of Artie Escobado, who was a baseball player and coach for legion ball at Runyon Field, Escobado also played fast-pitch softball for Pueblo Aztec Softball Club, 1978, 1979, and 1981.

Post 22 Wins 44th Annual "Nuch Tournament Title
Post 22 from Rapid City, SD, took the 44th Annual Tony Andenucio Tournament by storm, losing only once in the four-day affair and capturing the championship with a convincing 8-4 win over Cheyenne, WY (Post 6) on Father's Day Sunday evening June 16. It was the team's first visit to the tournament in Pueblo.
The tournament is the longest running affair in the United States west of the Mississippi, and has produced seven players for Major League Baseball. The tournament was a 12-team field which includes teams from Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming and the two Pueblo Azteca Baseball Club teams (16U-Red and18U-Blue).
Private Lessons Available at Runyon Field
The Runyon Field Sports Complex has announced that individual private lessons will be available to those baseball/softball players wishing to improve their skills in all facets of the game.

Softball Tryouts For Azteca 14U Team Coming July 28
The Runyon Field Sports Complex has announced a tryout date for those softball players 14U who would like to be a part of the Azteca Softball Club. Tryouts will held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Sun., July. 28, 2024.. Each player attendiing the tryouts will be evaluated individually based on a “Player Evaluation” form which includes: fielding, throwing, catching, hitting. Register Today!

Greater Pueblo Sports Association At Runyon Field
The Greater Pueblo Sports Association recently added a GPSA sign to the Runyon Field Sports Complex. The sign is located inside the main entrance near the office of the complex. Special thanks goes Larry Romero, interim Genral Manager of the Runyon Sports Complex and his staff, along with the Runyon Board of Directors.
The GPSA is a group of people interested in promoting those prominent athletes, sports teams and recreational activities in Pueblo County. Check out their website by clicking on the picture above.
