Joey Borjon Memorial Service Held at Runyon Field, Jan. 24, 2022
The Runyon Field Sports Complex (RFSC) was the site of a memorial service tor longtime Pueblo sports official Joseph Jesus "Joey" Borjon. The event took place at noon on Jan. 24, 2022, on Hobbs Field with Joe Cervi acting as Master of Ceremonies and Pastor Jim Murray serving as celebrant of the service. Borjon, who was born and raised in Pueblo, umpired both softball and baseball games at Runyon Field.
Joey also umpired at the college level for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) and was in charge of training umpires at the RFSC for many years. In addition, Borjon worked as a referee for both boys and girls basketball games. was invovled in calling 32 State Championship games. He spent 30 years working as a security guard at Pueblo Central High School and 18 years in the same capacity at St. Mary Corwin Hospital. Angelus Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Memorial Service Held for Avery Roman at Runyon Field March 20, 2021
The Runyon Field Sports Complex (RFSC) was the site of a memorial service tor Pueblo Central High School baseball player, Avery Roman at 11 a.m., on Saturday, March 20.The service took place on Hobbs Field with Joe Cervi acting as Master of Ceremonies and Deacon Robert Sanchez serving as celebrant of the service. Angelus Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
