Second Annual Home Run Derby a Smash!
In the historic complex named in honor of Damon Runyon, sluggers of all ages converged for the right to be called their age division’s best slugger.
The second annual Home Run Derby saw action taking place on four different field within the complex, with the finals reserved for Hobbs Field.
The winners in each age division were presented with a trophy bat, along with the accolades that come with being a top-notch long ball hitter.
This year, an adult division for men and women was added.
The event was made possible through the assistance of many, including the Colorado State University-Pueblo baseball and softball teams, Pueblo Community College Foundation and representatives, the Runyon Complex staff, the Damon Days Committee, and CSU-P’s REV-89, with finals commentary provided by J.J. Valentine and Tony Wright.
