Welcome to Runyon Field!
Welcome baseball, softball players, parents and fans to home to one of the best youth and summer baseball/softball facilities in the State of Colorado. Good luck to all players and teams coming to Runyon Field in 2023!
Directions to the RSC Sports Complex:
Coming into Pueblo (South on I-25):
Take Exit 98A. Take a right on Sante Fe at stoplight (going north). You will see green directional signs for "Runyon Field". Take interstate entrance for Colorado Springs. Take another left and you will see the sign for Runyon Field.
Coming into Pueblo (North on I-25):
Take Exit 98A. Then just as you get off you will see a green Runyon Field sign. Take a right and you will be in the Sports Complex.

We are aware of the I-25 lane closures starting next week for highway repairs. We would like to urge you to plan ahead and expect delays on your way to Runyon Sports Complex.

In Memoriam: Joe Bonaquista Passes Away July 16
Joe Bonacquista, 82, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 16, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with melanoma.
He was born March 29, 1942, in Trinidad, Colorado to Joe and Martha Bonacquista.
Joe was raised in Trinidad and was a two-sport stand-out at Trinidad High School. He attended Trinidad State Junior College for a year, then transferred to the University of Northern Colorado (Colorado State College) on athletic scholarships where he obtained both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education. He was an admired U.S. and Colorado history, civics and government teacher at Corwin Middle School, Weld Central, Roncalli, and East High Schools, having spent his last 28 years in education at East.
Anyone who knew Joe, knew of his love of baseball and passion for coaching. He played on many fields from his time as a young boy all the way into his late 70’s. Along the way he acquired many accolades including top hitting and all-star team recognitions. As an athlete he earned four collegiate letters and competed in the College World Series. Joe spent his mid 20’s with the semi-pro Pueblo Diablos. During his 30’s and 40’s he imparted his vast and deep knowledge of the game with Pueblo’s youth. As most men in their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s are relaxing on the porch, Joe was playing in the Men’s Senior Baseball League (MSBL) with the Denver Zephyrs, Chicago Skyliners and South Dakota Rushmores winning eight National Championships. He has been honored with inductions into multiple Halls of Fame throughout Colorado such as the Greater Pueblo Sports Association (GPSA) and the Joe Rossi Hall of Fame, just to name a few.

2024 Halloween Baseball Bash Registration
The Runyon Field Sports Complex has announced one of its last big tournaments of the 2024 season - the Fifth Annual Halloween Baseball/Softball Bash. The event will take place Oct. 25-27 (Baseball) and Nov. 1-3 (Softball). Click the flyer you wish to play in and get your team signed up today!!
There will be two costume parades (Sat., Oct. 26 - Baseball; Sat., Nov. 2 - Softball).

Upcoming Tryouts for Azteca Softball Club
The Runyon Field Sports Complex has announced a tryout dates for players who would like to be a part of the Azteca Softball Club. Each player attending the tryouts will be evaluated individually based on a “Player Evaluation” form which includes: fielding, throwing, catching, hitting.

Private Lessons Available at Runyon Field
The Runyon Field Sports Complex has announced that individual private lessons will be available to those baseball/softball players wishing to improve their skills in all facets of the game.

Greater Pueblo Sports Association At Runyon Field
The Greater Pueblo Sports Association recently added a GPSA sign to the Runyon Field Sports Complex. The sign is located inside the main entrance near the office of the complex. Special thanks goes Larry Romero, interim Genral Manager of the Runyon Sports Complex and his staff, along with the Runyon Board of Directors.
The GPSA is a group of people interested in promoting those prominent athletes, sports teams and recreational activities in Pueblo County. Check out their website by clicking on the picture above.
