Runyon Field Sports Complex Staff

Greg LaSage
General Manager

Greg was born and raised in Pueblo,and grew up playing baseball at Runyon Field; playing in the youth leagues, legion teams, the Elks, and Collegians. He played baseball for four years at Central High School, then played college baseball for two years at Lamar Community College and two more years at Eastern New Mexico University, where he earned a degree in Political Science.

Upon graduation, LaSage coached baseball for one year at Portales High School, where his team played for the New Mexico state championship. Greg then served as assistant baseball coach at Lamar Community College for five years, then for four years as an assistant at Eastern New Mexico University earning his Master's degree in HPE Sports Administration. Greg also served as the Head Cross Country Coach and as a Residence Hall Director at Lamar Community College and at Eastern New Mexico University. While coaching at the college level, Greg also coached at baseball camps in New Mexico, Colorado, and Missouri. In Master’s Degree work he completed his thesis research in on-base percentage as function of pitch count, and co-authored a published article in Collegiate Baseball.

Greg then moved to Austin, TX and worked with RBI Baseball Academy before going into business on his own and opening Zone Four Baseball, where he developed players in camps, clinics, lessons, and competitive youth teams. The Zone Four teams competed in numerous state championship and national championship games with age groups ranging from 8u-14u teams, including a 12U Minor Super Series National Championship game win and 13U and 14U Major Runner-Up finishes.

Greg has nine years of coaching experience at the college level, 3 years at the high school level, and over 20 years with youth players and teams.

LaSage was hired in January, 2020, to replace Dave Dudley as general manager of the Runyon Field Sports Complex.



Mark Worrell
Assistant General Manager

Mark Worrell grew up in South Florida and has enjoyed engaging in a wide variety of sports from an early age. As a senior in high school, Mark was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays but elected to attend college instead. After his junior year of college at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Mark was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals.

Mark was a professional baseball pitcher with four organizations over a time frame of approximately eight years. Mark accrued Major League Service time with the St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres and Baltimore Orioles.

Upon completion of his professional baseball career, Mark completed his B.A and M.B.A from Florida International University and PhD from The University of Texas. Mark is currently a member of the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association and Texas Exes.

Mark enjoys giving back to his community and student-athletes through many exciting platforms, including: Athletes for Hope, RBI Baseball, American Red Cross and various other unique and diverse opportunities.

Mark is excited for the opportunity to join the Runyon Sports Complex team and family. He is excited to work with an established program with a unique and impressive history..
