Runyon Field Sports Complex Staff

Greg LaSage
General Manager

Greg was born and raised in Pueblo and grew up playing baseball at Runyon Field; playing in the youth leagues, summer teams, the Elks, and Collegians. His family has a long history with Runyon. He grew up playing, practicing, and watching games at the complex. His grandparents sold tickets and his dad shagged balls at Runyon for Pueblo Dodgers games. He played baseball for four years at Central High School, then played college baseball for two years at Lamar Community College and two more years at Eastern New Mexico University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Psychology.

Upon graduation, LaSage coached baseball for one year at Portales High School, where his team played for the New Mexico state championship. Greg then served as assistant baseball coach at Lamar Community College for five years, then for four years as an assistant at Eastern New Mexico University earning his master's degree in HPE Sports Administration. Greg also served as the Head Cross Country Coach and as a Residence Hall Director at Lamar Community College and at Eastern New Mexico University. While coaching at the college level, Greg also coached at baseball camps in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Missouri, and was a guest speaker at the New Mexico High School Baseball and New Mexico High School Cross County Coach's Association annual clinics.. During his master's degree work he completed his thesis research in on-base percentage as function of pitch count and co-authored a published article in Collegiate Baseball.

Greg then moved to Austin, TX and worked with RBI Baseball Academy before going into business on his own and opening Zone Four Baseball, where he developed players in camps, clinics, lessons, and competitive youth teams. The Zone Four teams and players operated out of indoor facilities in Austin, Round Rock, and Liberty Hill, TX. Zone Four Baseball teams competed in numerous state championship and national championship games with age groups ranging from 8u-14u teams, including a 12U Minor Super Series National Championship game win and 13U and 14U Major Runner-Up finishes.

Greg has nine years of coaching experience at the college level, 3 years at the high school level, and over 20 years with youth players and teams.

LaSage was hired as General Manager in January 2020. He and his wife Harmony and son Johnny live in Pueblo.

Emily Menapace
Admin. Assistant

Emily was born in Reno, Nevada but raised in Trinidad, CO. She played youth baseball and was on her high school boys baseball team. She has excelled in many other sports as well - Gymnastics, Dance, and Cheerleading at the college level. Emily was the operations manager for the Trinidad Triggers professional club baseball team for several years before moving to Pueblo.

Emily started as an admin/recreation coordinator for Pueblo County Recreation in November 2016. Emily has been a youth coach for cheerleading since 2008. She founded her own non-profit City of Trinidad Cheer organization 2008-2015 and has been a coach at Stuntz Academy since 2015. Emily is now the Admin at Runyon Sports Complex.

She plans to use her organization and love of sports to make sure this season and every season after runs smoothly. Let’s Play Ball!l


Brennan Baker

Brennon was born and raised in Pueblo and grew up playing baseball at Runyon Field in the Youth Leagues and for County High School. He was originally hired as a youth umpire as an 8th grader and since has become a CHSSA certified umpire. He graduated from County High in 2020 and is currently enrolled at Colorado State University- Pueblo working towards a Sports Management Business Degree. Brennon is an asset to Runyon, and you may see him all around the complex as he has many responsibilities which include working in the office, umpiring, announcing, and running Galarraga Field.
